Dead End in Rasier Cell?

#1 Post by Knightmare44 » Wed Oct 01, 2008 6:06 am

This may have been already covered, I tried the search but found no luck. I'm in the raseir dungeon as a mage, and I forgot to get the katta pin I believe? Am I at an unrecoverable dead end? I have a save game a day before the arrest but no saves in Shapeir. Please help!

If you've spoken to his relative back in Shapeir, you should be able to gain the Katta's trust without the pin.

As for getting out of the cell, you're a mage, you can just Open the door. :)

well I can get my equipment back, and I talk to the katta about shapeir & shema & he says "my heart tells me you are a friend, yet my mind fears you are a trap, do you have a token?"

Ok, since I don't have any save games in the remake from this point of the game, I had to try it out in the EGA, but I dropped the pin so my hero had absolutely nothing. Then I told Sharaf about Shema. He gave me the same dialogue, asking for some token, so then I told him about Shapeir, and then he said, "Ah, you are indeed a friend." I can't guarantee it, but it should work the same in the remake. :)

First of all, you don't really need Sharaf to escape. It's also possible to find the secret passageway without him. If you do want to befriend him, talking about Shapeir or Shema does the same thing, but your communication skill must be high enough to convince him. Keep trying until it's sufficient or just blow the join without him.

Thank you for the help, unfortunately he just seems to repeat the text, maybe accepting the pin triggers something that I have failed to do? Can I post a save game?

The pin is handy, but optional. If you insist on befriending Sharaf, keep telling him about Shapeir/Shema. Eventually your communication stat will have gotten to the point where you convince him to believe you.

What gives more points? The pin or talking?

In my experience, both give 7 points (but you don't get twice the points if you do both).

Does it matter what you talk about (out of the two possibilities) or does everything just give the same points and only once?

I believe the points are given for the action of befriending Sharaf, regardless of the way you achieve it.
