how to optimise graphics

hey my graphics look worse compared with some of the screenshots from other peoples version of the QFGII remake?

I tried changing filters, but that doesnt make a differnce one bit, just makes it slower lol

:)

So anyway i can fix this?

Don't use filters, run it as is. Filters detract from what the actual game was made to look like, they blur textures to make them less pixelated and aren't necassary designed for each game.

You may be thinking that your graphics quality is lower because people's screenshots will look a lot more detailed when compressed to a smaller section of the screen. When you play the game, you have a limited number of pixels being blown up to fit your screen. If it bothers you too much, try windowed mode.

Longer. QFG2 came out in 1990. It's been 19 years.

I think MusicallyInspired was referring to the time games like QFG3 and 4 were released.

Yeah, I meant the way the timeframe for how the VGA games looked. QFG2 was EGA.
