Plot question

So, when the hero and Aziza discovers that his saurus is (appraently by some blind stroke of luck) the enchanted emir Arus, the hero has actually got two potions of dispel in his pack.

Why on earth do they wait until after the endgame to apply one of these?
They could have just done it there and then.
Aziza even comments on this, saying that they should look for a way to dispel his enchantment. But it's right there in front of them!

I don't get it? 8o

That was a semi-plot hole in the original. A fairly feasable explanation is the fact saurii don't have hair and you need a tuft of fur/hair before the potions work. In the remake, if (after the meeting with the saurus and Aziza) you tell Harik about the emir/saurus, he'll tell you he should be able to find a way to make his dispel potions work on hairless creatures but it could take him a little while.

Hmmmm....

Just finished the game... Well, I hate to point it out, but Harik doesn't actually come up with anything new in the way of potions...

In the original the endgame text said something about "You use a dispel potion which was specially prepared by Harik for this occasion". This almost solved this minor plot hole.

In the remake, it is put simply that "you use one of your dispel potions..."
Nothing mentioned about hair or the lack thereof.

Also, a minor bug:
In the endgame as a thief, the Emir Arus al-Din forgets to mention the name of the hero.
