I have imported a character from Quest for glory 1 with 270 gold coins and tried to give them to the money changer, but she gives me only 135 dinars in return. Is that right or is it a bug? In the manual for the original version it is written that the money changer retains only a small percentage as a fee, but 50% hardly can be defined as “small”.

The more money you try to exchange in one hit, the larger the cut Dinarzad takes for herself. Try exchanging smaller amounts at a time. This process takes longer, but you'll receive a more favourable exchange rate.

The game has such subtle touches of humor, that sometimes you don't even notice you have been ripped off your money until you talk with other people that have played the game.
