Importing DosBox saves?

Hi all, I had just completed QFG1VGA with DosBox. When I tried to import my hero over to the remake of QFG2, it gives me an error saying the file is not compatible. I noticed that the file from DosBox has the extension '.001' (002, 003 etc depending on the number of times u saved) while the remake recongise .sav files. I tried changing the extension to the latter but it still doesn't help...

The numbered files are savegame files not your character export file. When you save your export file after you beat QFG1 it saves it as a SAV file. It gives you the option after you beat it. You can't take your save games from QFG1 to QFG2. They're two completely different things.

You are specifically asked to name the file you export. QFG1VGA can have this issue of getting "stuck" during the end ceremony. Don't click on anything and eventually Yorick will cartwheel in and the ending will proceed.
