QFG I Online at Gametap, Can I Save the Export File?

I want to play Quest for Glory I before I play this game so that I can import an existing character with high stats. I was thinking of buying a used Quest for Glory Collection from Amazon or Ebay, but it costs too much. There's an online version available on Gametap, and I would only have to pay a small fee a month to be able to play it. Would I still be able to save the export file?
