Stuck on the Ali Saurus Salesman Screen

I entered the screen with only 46 dinars, saved, and now I'm dead every time I try leaving the screen.
Is there a way to hex edit the amount of gold I have so I don't have to restart?

You can try bargaining with him to get the price as low as possible. Just keep saying "No" to his offers.
BTW: Save early, save often, and use multiple slots.

I don't think it let me bargain but I could try again. I click the money purse on him and he keeps saying that I don't have enough.
It's still a dead-end in the game. I wish it would let me go fight monsters until I had enough.
No hex editor for the save game?

You don't have the normal bargaining interface. Instead, you need to use the dialogue system. If you click the mouth on yourself, you can say "no" to his offers until he lowers the price sufficiently.

That's right and it worked. Thanks. Now if only buying a car in RL was as easy
