Is this no longer possible? That's how I always weakened the air elemental in the original version of the game, but today in the remake I've been chucking rocks at him forever and it never seems to work. My throwing's 200, and I've even tried turning the game skill all the way down. Was this option removed for the remake?

I recall that what was taken out of the remake was throwing sand to the elemental, and it was an intentional change which sadly makes picking sand as useless as in the real life.

So..... anyone have any idea about the rock thing?

Rocks won't slow the Air Elemental in the remake. We made it strictly earth or dirt that had to be thrown in order to keep closer to the element-based nature of the game.
