Sorry if this has been asked before, just curious: When accepting the drink from Ferrari, I remember the narrative telling me that the drink has a strange, chemical taste. But I evade his questions and nothing seems to happen.
Is there something here I havenĀ“t seen yet?

I know it's a month late, but...

Basically, it's just to signify that he tried to drug you so that you would be more pliable... but your hero's made of too stern stuff for the dosage to have affected you.

Hmmm, what if the hero's communications skills, or intelligence, is quite low? Would that make any difference perhaps?

I don't think so, but I can't guarantee that it doesn't affect it.

Never ran into this problem either. I commented on another post about in game problems. Seems like they are just minor bugs. Not really sure how to explain them.

If your stamina is low enough, your hero will remember Signor Ferrari asking pointed questions, and eventually saying you look tired or something, and then send you to bed. He doesn't make any comments about you handling your drink well.

That's neat, though I wonder if there was originally planned some more gameplay for this part?

Well, I'm three years late, but I can shed some light on this necro-post in case anyone wants answers. When we were routing the TAS for the original EGA, we had to look at this. The Vitality stat is used to determine how much time is spent in the questioning phase of Ferrari.

There are three levels-
Low vitality - Ferrari asks lots of questions and uses up about 3 hours (I believe) of the in-game clock.
Med vitality - Ferrari gets info, but gets the impression that you are holding back, and uses up something like 2 hours.
High vitality - You're tight-lipped. Ferrari ends the conversation pretty darn quick.

For speedrunning, it was important to have low vitality, because you couldn't skip this waiting as resting is disabled everywhere in the game except for two places (Katta's Inn and the Oasis). In this game, it's a moot point, because you are able to rest... and thank you, devs, for implementing this.
