Every time I'm trying to do a spell I always die. It's written I shouldn't try to do my own spell

You need to have the spellbook turned to the right page and then follow the directions very carefully and precisely.

There isn't a specific order you need to make the spells in, except that some spells are needed in order to gather the ingredients for other.

The fly/eagle spell is the quickest and easiest, and it doesn't require any ingredients from outside the mansion, so that's a good one to do first.
