Stuck Near End

Alright, I'm officially stuck right before the ending and it is driving me crazy!

Can someone give me a hint with what I am supposed to do when I am walking back to the castle with Rosella and we come to that dead end with the edge of the cliff and the walkway that will break if you step on it wrong? I have tried all of my items and none of them seem to work, and I can't go back because Rosella tells me the castle is North.

Am I missing something?

You don't need any items for this - just take your time as you cross & wait a few seconds before you start walking.

If you look at the ground the unstable part will start to shake after a few seconds... avoid that area when you walk over it...

Ahh ... I figured it out, but I was not happy when I did, because I had tried it before and it didn't work ...
