I'm going through the process of completing one of the spells. I can add one item to another, but every time I try to wave the magic wand to complete the spell, it tells me you can't make up your own spells or something like that. How can I wave the magic wand to complete the spells without dying? I double checked the version of the game. It is 1.1.

Have you pronounced the magic words on the recipe? Missing one step while creating a spell is devastating.

read the recipes carefully: some recipes need you to use the wand before reading the spell, some after it.
