What version of DirectX are you using? Do you have all the latest drivers for your computer? What resolution are your trying to run the game in?

hi, i get the same error on win2k SP4 with diretctx9.0c. i tried 1024x768 & 640x480 as windows-resolution and all resolutions within the kq2-options menu in full mode and as window.

the only chance to get it started so far was to use the acdos.exe from ags2.54 within a cmd-box. but then, i have no sound.

with dosbox-0.63 i rceived an error "no DPMI - get csdpmi*b.exe". so, i downloaded a csdpmi.zip i found in google and unzipped it in the kq2-directore. afterwards acdos still dumped.

btw, i've got an ati mobile radeon 9600.

I've heard that there are issues running the games on some laptops and computers with flatscreen monitors. You might try going into KQ2 setup and changing it to 640x400 and selecting to run it in a window. That is how I get it to run on my laptop.

If you're running Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you might be able to get sound working in ACDOS.EXE by using VDMSound.
