can't move when i need to go into cottage!

I just got the game downloaded, and i can not go into the house to give the man the porridge to get the fiddle. when i enter the screen with the cottage he just stops moving and i cannot move him anymore. i have to quit the game. doen't matter when i enter the screen it always happens. anybody know what is wrong? It is great someone has remade this game, a few more i would like to see come back to.

There is a known bug that occurs when you enter the screen too close to the cabin. You can enter the screen fine if you exit the previos screen a little further to the side.

i have saved the game in that screen, so that means i have to go back and do it all over again. because once i reload i'm in there and can not move!
