When I first start up Kings Quest II (or Kings Quest I, both do this), a message pops up that says "Unable to initialize your audio hardware. [Problem: Failed to init digital sound driver]" And when I play the game, the sound doesn't work, and I don't know what to do! Can someone help me?

Try running the winsetup.exe program that comes with the games and selecting a different sound driver.
Failing that, make sure you also have the latest version of DirectX installed, as well as the latest drivers for your sound card.

And if nothing else works, choose PC speaker. I think every computer should have one of those...

Also make sure nothing else is using the sound card such as a media player like Winamp etc
