Trapped in the lake with the ugly duckling

Seriously. I waded out into the lake to catch it, and then became "trapped" in the water, as if the shore was an impassable wall.

Weird. Did you try doing what you have to do with the duckling? maybe aa load, or a restart as a last resort? Are you stuck in the lake from all its surroundings, or can you go out the back, for example?
Does this problem re-accur, or was it just a one-time thing? What OS are you using? And finally, do you have the latest version of the game?

I can't remember, but I think that was when I tried to catch it without the net.

It was a one time thing, and a simple reload fixed it, but I thought it was worth mentioning nonetheless.

I was completely stuck within the lake.
