Can't Launch KQ2

Hello,

I cannot launch the KQ2VGA.

It installed fine including speech and music packs but when I try to PLAY GAME or GAME OPTIONS, I get the following message.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142).

Click on OK to terminate the application"

Please help me fix this problem.

try redownloading all of the packages

If it installed ok i'd doubt this is caused by a mess up when downloading the files. Try running to setup and changing a few of the options such as, 'force alternative letterbox resolution' or changing the sound options.

Have you tried running the game program and setup program from their actual location (C:\Program Files\Tierra\KQ2VGA) insteadm of using the launcher? The launcher may be the problem.
