The problem appears in the town. The console gives this:
Code: Select all
Error: The character 'town guy' could not be displayed because there were no frames in loop 1 of view 110.
I'm using AGS-v2_71_894 on Gentoo Linux. Is that script bug or maybe it's interpreter problem?
Edit: Sorry for my misspelling. English is not my natural language.

Must be some weird discrepancy that's been caused by the game being ran under Linux.
When I check the game source, that view (110) does have frames in loop 1, so I'm not really sure what the problem would be.

Maybe one of the files is damaged. I would try re-downloading it. I don't think it'll help, but it's the only thing I can think of doing in that situation.

I downloaded the game again and tried with different versions of ags. The problem sill appears >: The good news is that if I not stay too much at the town center the game works fine.
Edit:
In fact the message is not always the same but it happens at the town center. Sometimes 'town guy' is substituted with 'woman' and the number is 111 or 110.
