screen adjust/saving issue

#1 Post by Man » Wed Apr 02, 2008 11:28 pm

I'm having a bit of a problem with KQ2 with the small screen. How do I get it larger? Do you know what icon i need to have on my desktop or in a folder? Also I would like to have KQ3 saving file seperate from KQ2? I think some of my save files were deleted because of this.

Are you playing the remakes or the original AGI versions? And did you put KQ2 and KQ3 in the same folder? If you didn't they're already separated. If you did, WHY?

yeah probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. This is the remake. i was rushing to get both games in 2 hours. Why does that kind of problem occur? A glitch! I have to re-download Kq2 don't I? i'm goin to check to see if i can make Kq3s frame bigger. There is some good though that really really tiny screen is cute.

Both games must be in their own folders because they share filenames used by all AGS games like music.vox, speech.vox and others. It's not a good idea to put them in the same folder. That'll solve your save game problem.

As for the tiny screen. I had a similar problem but updating to my graphics card's latest drivers solved that. Also make sure in winsetup.exe you have it set to full screen and not windowed.

There's no way you'll get a virus from that. It's not a glitch, either.

If you run the game from the launcher, just select "Game Options" to enter setup. There is a checkbox on the left that says something like "Play game in a window rather than fullscreen". UNCHECK this box. For KQ1 and 2 VGA you can access setup from the launcher or by running "Game Options" from their respective directories. For KQ3 VGA you must run "Setup KQ3" to enter setup.

Hope this helps,
