QFG2 Game Crashing Bug (spoilers)

While in the desert (more specifically, at the beast's cage) if you try to fill the wicker basket with sand the game crashes and comes up with:
"An error has occured. Please contact the game author for support, as this is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS. (ACI version 2.72.920)
in Room 22 script (line 1141)
Error: SetActiveInventory: character doesn't have any of that inventory"
