KQ3: undeserved death while preparing sleep spell

At the point where it says to measure one cupful of nightshade juice into the bowl, I choose the cup, click it onto the nightshade juice and... the spellmaking fails and I get a game over. Using the nightshade directly on the bowl is the way to go. Doesn't make much sense, especially since in the spell to understand animals it's all right to click the spoon on the fish scales when the instructions tell you to add spoonfuls of that.
