Is this game really designed for a 4:3 aspect ratio??

Hi everyone,

I've just installed King's Quest 1, version 4.1c and I can't decide whether to play this game in widescreen or letterboxed.

My monitor has an aspect ratio of 16:10, which is curiously the exact same aspect ratio of 320x200 (do the math, it's the same!).

However, people say that most games that use a 320x200 resolution aren't designed to be watched on a 16:10 screen, because the pixels are not square and are supposed to be shown stretched.

Is that true with this game?

I'm asking because I've noticed that the characters seem to be more "human like" when I play the game in widescreen mode (which means a 16:10 aspect ratio, and squared pixels). In fact, when I set a 4:3 aspect ratio they seem very unnatural and squashed!!

Could this game be really designed with square pixels (instead of "tall" pixels) in mind??
