KQ3 Cat Biscuit Cut Scene Freeze

I'm playing KQ3 on Windows 7 and when I get to the cut scene (I think) nothing happens. I still have the cat head cursor but the eyes don't move. This happens right after Alexander recited the spell to taunt the mage. My timer countdown continues to count down, but nothing else happens.
Any suggestions?
