bug while bringing the menu bar up at castle door

When you first come to the castle, before the two ghosts float over to the graveyard, if you bring the mousepointer up to the menu, just as the topmost (female) ghost float under where the menu will show up the game will pause like normal when the menu is down, except the female ghost which will just speed up like hell and continue floating randomly. This takes a while to recreate, just move your mouse up and down a few times. I'd provide a save but I doubt it's related to anything I've done earlier (and I saved over it anyway :/.
