KQ1 freezing

#1 Post by TheLink » Sun Dec 14, 2003 12:33 am

i just downloaded KQ1...and for a while it worked fine, all was spiffy. Then all of a sudden, it starts freezing in the screen that warns you that your running 640x400 mode (it won't run for me in 320x200). Crtl Alt End won't work. Ctrl Alt Delete won't work. It just freezes until i restart the machine. I've tried reinstalling, and it didn't work. I don't get why it worked for a while, and doesn't now. Any explainations or suggestions? I appreciate the help of anyone who can offer any.

I tried it. It ran a little while, until i started a new game, the moment i did anything it froze again. When I tried it again after that, it just started freezing at the same screen as before again. Only other difference was this time I managed to ctrl atl delete it instead of having to shut the computer off manualy.

That seems kinda... weird. Try upgrading your video drivers. I had something similair, when I upgraded the drivers everything worked just fine.

Try upgrading all your drivers. Video, sound card, DirectX, everything you can. Also, when it freezes, are you able to use Ctrl+Alt+X? I believe that is the break command for AGS. Also, have you tried using 320x200 again since you have started having troubles?
