Can I write KQ1 to a CD-R?

#1 Post by Roland of Gilead » Wed May 18, 2005 5:31 pm

I'm trying to download the game off a computer at work and write to a CD so I can play at home.  My connection at home is way too slow to download.  I've tried installing it directly onto a CD but the program won't allow me.  I've also tried installing on the hard drive here at work and writing it to a CD, but that doesn't seem to work either.  Any suggestions?

Try writing the installer itself to a CD. Then run it once you get home.

(Of course, make sure you're actually using a CD-R(W) drive and recordable media!)

thanks

Instead of running the program, I clicked save and chose the cd drive as its destination.  It looks like it worked, now I just hope my computer can handle it, it's a little old.
