How many new adventure gamers?

I grew up on adventure games that made me think and puzzle out the solutions to many a tricky problem.  I just found AGDI, and after reading their "mission statement" about the necessity of bringing back these worthwhile games in an era of fast-paced shooters, I started to wonder: how many kids/teens are they actually reaching with these games?

I think their's a poll of ages here somewhere I just don't remember. I'm 17 and I personally hate shooters.

I'm 17, and I like both shooters and non-shooters. In fact, I like pretty much every game type that isn't sports (fifa, etc) or races (nfs, etc.). Mainly, I play action, strategy, adventure and RP games.

Well, kids, it is a good thing you recognize these old relics.

I am sorry to say you did miss out playing these fresh off the shelf.

It was a cool thing back in 92 when I was 10 playing QFG2 with the new Soundblaster card.

I remember saving my allowance for weeks just to buy KQ4.
Worth every penny of 19.95, at Babbages.

I still have the damn diskettes.

I guess the game coolness came to younger folks such as yourselves with N64 and PS2. No bad things intended in my words, it is cool that some younger people play these. I suggest the entire Sierra series, you can get many of them on Ebay, Amazon and such.

I've been playing these games since I was 5. I would dictate to my older brother to type the commands since I couldn't read or write, so you can imagine who actually was playing... (it was still fun to watch). And we had tons of Sierra games. Every month practically we would go to the software store and buy them. My parents loved them too, which is how we got them without a fuss. What a great child-hood. :rollin
