After watching, 'The Incredibles' I'd have to say no.

I would say no.  It just does not seem practical to me... can't see any advantage to wearing a cape, only disadvantages such as an enemy grabbing hold of it and pulling the hero to the ground.  Or pulling it over the hero's face so he/she cannot see, etc.

I don't understand the relevance with this.

Should he? Maybe if he needs it. You never know when a cape could come in handy. A napkin, blanket, noose, fuel for a fire, or in a dire situation, toilet paper.

Well, I would hope that if used as toilet paper, the hero would either cut the soiled part of the cape off afterwards, or at least hurry to a stream so it would be washed out.  Unless of couse you would like to be the hero known as "Skidmark, who scares away monsters with his stinky cape".

I think I will name my next hero, Skidmark.
Donner of the Brown Cape. A magic Cape.

Depends, if it is a travelling hero, then yes, he/she should wear a cape, but a hero that only acts on a specific area shouldn't need it.

Yikes!   :eek

You won't need a dazzle or calm spell, for the monsters will have tears in their eyes and won't be able to see you.

Ok seriously now, a cape could be useful for keeping warm in a cold climate.  Thinking outside of the QFG world, Graham found a cloak, somewhat similar to a cape, very useful in KQ5.  I can't remember the name of the monster now but he has to travel through ice and snow to get there.

In an area where there is not much room to move around I can see it being more of a pain than anything though, getting caught on things such as tree branches or jagged rocks, or stuck in doors or windows.

Graham needed the tailor's cloak to pass through Queen Icebella's realm without freezing.  He had to deal with her lupine servants, Icebella herself, and the Yeti which had invaded her prized crystal cave.  He eventually left her realm after being picked up by a two-headed roc and left as food for her chick - the chick managed to grab onto the cloak during his escape and it was thus left behind.

Hmmm... suppose the hero drops the cape before a battle?  :p

It would depend on where the hero was, like in QFG 1 it was still late winter so his cape/cloak kept him warm.  :p
