iPhones

#1 Post by Music Head » Sun Aug 17, 2008 8:26 am

Just curious if anyone else has bought an iPhone, 3G or not. I bought a 3G model a few weeks back when they finally hit Australia. Pretty happy with the device and the deal I got with Vodafone ($29 a month = 110 free sms, $130 of credit). However, the iPhone updated some of my applications, downloading 10mb, which is nothing; but, Costing $20 a mb, this used up all my credit and put me into debt for the first month. However that's since been disabled. Funny you cna spend $10 extra a month and get a data plan of 1gb :\ .

I bought one on the launch date and have been very happy with it. The Netherlands has a very good deal in my opinion: 30 euros a month for 150 minutes and 150 text messages. The data plan is unlimited at 2048/384 Kbps

I got mine a week after launch date (they ran out of stock pretty quickly) but I am very happy with it. I got the 16GB model for £159 and I'm paying £35 a month for 600 minutes and 500 texts plus unlimited date and Wifi on an 18 month contract.

I think the UK and most of Europe got the better deal for iPhone 3G, the worst probably being Canada who have horrific tariff rates last I checked. Don't you guys gave to take a 3 year contract out or something?

I would get one if my service provider had them... AT&T has exclusive rights to iPhone in the US...

In Canada AT&T makes you take a 2 year plan but I don't know much more than that. I'm pretty happy with my Sony Ericson

It hasn't arrived here yet... can pre-order.
Will have to wait till my current contract expires though. :(

I had the original 8 gb iPhone but somehow I cracked the screen and it would have cost $250 dollars have it fixed. In the end I bought the black jack 2
