Oh and should they ever be allowed to talk? Or should a narrator still provide their thoughts for viewers?

Gee...I wonder who Steffi would vote for... ;)

Lessee...Hero has yellow/blonde hair, thereby leaving out Tom Cruise (black hair), Tom Hanks (black hair), and Vin Diesel (no hair :p ). Sure, they could have their hair coloured but it just wouldn't be the same.

I'd have to make a write-in vote for...

adeyke! Yep, he's got blonde hair, and he's the quiet type (at least on these forums), plus he came from Germany (started out there, anyway, kind of like the Hero starting out in Spielburg) so I could totally see him as the Hero! :)

Either Paul Walker (first choice) or Owen Wilson (second choice).

Really well-known stars tend to have their own unique identity and sometimes detract from the character portrayal IMHO - no matter how good an actor they are.

I guess if it was a movie they'd somehow make the hero speak. Remember Zelda, didn't he speak in the cartoon?

Orlando Blooms for looks, but I don't think he'd work for the voice. His voice is too posh for some of the characters he plays, other that though I'd pick him with the exception of the voice. *Waits for a slap from Steffi*

James Marsters. He's blond, physical, and has attitude.

Could Owen Wilson do a serious movie though?

I voted for Hugh Jackman. He seems talented.

I think he did 'serious' fairly well in Behind Enemy lines. Besides, QFG has a fair amount of quirkiness in relation to its serious side... it's a bit of a comedy in itself!

The reason I'd cast Paul Walker (of Fast and the Furious fame) as the first choice for the Hero, though, is because of this; for what he lacks in 'acting talent' he makes up for in his appearance! He looks identical to the hero from QFG1 and QFG2! And since the Hero doesn't talk much, it doesn't matter if Paul Walker doesn't say anything... it's the perfectly suited role. Also, I doubt any of those other actors could bring the same amount of authenticity to the log surfing scene from QFG2!

Hmmm.... perhaps if you could mix Paul Walker's looks, Vin Deisel's physique, Owen Wilson's humor, Orlando Bloom's youth, Tom Hanks' screen presence, Hugh Jackman's accent, Tom Cruise's sex symbol status, James Marsters' eyebrows, and Kevin Spacey's... uh... communication stats from The Negotiator... then you might just have the perfect actor to play the hero! :D

Well... Orlando would do nicely for QfG1. But he'll have to 'buff' up a little for QfG2. (obviously just a little bit) But he won't work, because he's already played too many fantasy/mythology characters already.

Let Naruto play the hero. :p Although you won't get him to keep quiet. :D

Edit: What about the Rock? :)

You know, I did once envision a scene for a hypothetical QFG2 movie. Ad Avis, standing in the desert next to the entrance of the Forbidden City, screaming "I WILL NOT BE DENIED!" towards the camera, followed by a flash and the QFG2 logo appearing, with some creepy narrator voice saying "Quest for Glory 2: Trial by Fire".

:lol Hahahaha Vin Diesel. Was that a joke? Well he needs a wig then if I will be selected.

I would say the best actor to fit should be the actor who is playing Thorn in TV soap show "Bold and Beautyful". He got muscle you know. errr...what? Did I something wrong? :o

But I am pretty sure it would be a actor from German.

The hero could only ever be played by one.

This fine gentleman here: http://www.iath.virginia.edu/~umw8f/Bar ... conan1.jpg

HAHAHA well. Ahem.

Out of those guys in the poll, guess I'd say Orlando. Perhaps.

Awesome idea for a trailer. Someone should make a fan-made one (like the fanmade Episode II trailers).

Btw, what is the point of making a QFG2 film first before making QFG1? Although making QFG1 into a film would probably suck.

Hello traveller from afar, make yourself home and sneak into houses and steal stuff while battling random goblins for money. Also there is a girl that needs to be rescued.

Although you could make it like the hobbit, just have scenes from the first bit explaining why he is in Shapier and stuff.

I actually think the movies would work as a trilogy. I think you should condense them into three movies; the first one by itself, 2 and 3 combined, and then 4 and 5 combined.

I don't think that would be a good idea.

I don't think QFG would work as a movie anyway.

I, for one, liked the climax of QFG2 more than the climax of QFG3. Not having the race against time in Raseir at the end of a movie, but in the middle, would be a letdown of some sort for me.
