Man, that really was a great movie. I saw it with my father and he thought it was better than the original Superman (which he saw in the theater).

I'll probably watch it some time this week. Can't wait to see Spider-Man in action.

I usually go 2 weeks after a movie opens. Enough time for the lineups to die down and the theatres to not be packed, but not enough time for the excitement to die down.

Spider-Man and X-Men have got to be my favorite comic book movies.

I agree. I was very impressed with both X-Men movies. I was afraid the sequel would be awful as some sequels are, but it wasn't. And I keep hearing how great Spiderman 2 is...can't wait to see it.

*steals violin and smacks someone over the head with it*

Anyways, I bought the Spider-Man DVD yesterday (3 discs for €19,99 :D ) and I'm definitely gonna see Spider-Man 2 when it's in cinemas here next week. Can't wait to see Doc Ock kick some eight-legged ass.

I'm rewatching Spidey 1 right now and I think people make fun of Goblin too much. The final smackdown between him and Spidey is pretty damn awesome.

Yeah, the Goblin rocked. Willem Dafoe really put his heart in that performance.

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout
Down came the Goblin and took the spider out

:lol

I actually think the smackdown between Gobbey and Spidey is better than the one with Doc Ock... but I still like Spidey 2 better.

Green Goblin/Doc Oc

#17 Post by Velocity » Mon Jul 05, 2004 7:24 pm

I would like to know, do all of the Spider-Man Villans have to be made into schitzophrenics in the movies?

Don't get me wrong, I like how they handled the villans, but it's really creepy how the Green Goblin helmet talked to Norman, or how Doc Oc's arms talked to him.

It was kinda cool how then the "Goblin" started "talking" to Harry. But you're right, since that worked so well, why overplay it by having the tentacles talk to Doc Ock?
