Playing King's Quest II I found some very funny death messages and some nice/funny death music. Which is your favorite?

My favorites:

Favorite death music for:
Not terribly fit are you? Swimming for too long was a little too much!

Favorite death messages:
Oh for howling out loud!
You become acquainted with the greatest book critic of all time.

Favorite death message and music (combination):
You're hiSSSSStory!

There were quite a few nice ones in the game. A few favourites of mine... (not certain if wording is 100% correct)

There are safer ways to trigger a trap, or didn't you know it was there?

Now you know how the floorboard spell works. (not a special message, but a cool death animation)

Returning to the scene of the crime is never a good idea.

Choice of Strategy: Good. Choice of target: deplorable.

You've chosen to leave this galaxy in favor of another. Good luck, space jockey.

You've opted to live your life in the most uncivilized world you can conceive.

You've chosen to skip a large part of your life. Eager to get it over with?

What a life. A world of wine, women and a nice little term called precaution.

With no way of returning, you can kiss your fair maiden goodbye and even that is no longer possible.

You had a window of opportunity, but you threw the latter out of the former.

Jesus Christ... I should finally get around to finishing the game. I'm missing lots of good stuff.

Now that's damn witty!

It gets displayed when you shoot the poisoned needle at a normal wolf while ambushed at the lake. :)

I was just replaying some bits, and decided to see what would happen if I didn't show Caldaur the ring. :rollin

My vote goes to "Down for the count?".

Someone should make a list of all death scenes in the game, like The Many Deaths of Roger Wilco.

Maybe you're taking the "can't beat them join them" philosophy a bit too literally.
I liked that one but the '''hissssstory'' one was good to. :D

You were once the finest knight in Daventry. Just what have you been doing this past year?

I would pick that. But i didn't vote.

Thats a cool one :hat

Oh, for howling out loud!

Is'nt that against the rules?

Dude that's seriously offensive, no slander or bigotory please.
BTW I'm refering to "Jesus Christ..." especially in the context you expressed it.

sorta off topic, I hope you keep qfg2's orginal death messages. Some of them were pretty good. Especially the Casablanca ones where you screw up at the dead parrot inn.

I see that several people have replied talking about the death messages but no one has commented on the music that is played with the death messages... Any (perhaps dull) messages with nice music?

Actually my favorite death music/quote combo is the one where you get stabbed outside Hagatha's cave with the spikes where it has the twisted version of the funeral march (believe that what it's called.) with the cool little poem.

That was the original music for King's Quest 2, yet in that horrific PC speaker tone.

My favourite is possibly "What a life. A world of wine, women and a nice little term called precaution. "

I'm not sure what game it was but you fall off a ledge and the death message comes up "Gravity is a bitch isn't it?" Might be LSL2 yet I'm not sure.

Hmmm. Wouldn't know, but I think there weren't any falling-off-ledges deaths in LSL2.

The closest thing I can think of is in LSL3 when you fall off a ledge: "Are you now convinced that gravity truly SUCKS?"

In LSL2, you can fall off a cliff on the screen just north of Chief Kenneewauwau's hut.

You can't fall off while trying to get to the airport, however.

Just played through both LSL2 and 3 recently actually, and for Larry 2, you didn't get any quips or quotes. For Larry 3 you did, but Akago got the quote right. And for Larry 3, thank god for those patches. I'll tell you, one game of doing 500+ reps for each machine was enough for me.
