It depends. If you just take a bird and some other little things or something for kq5 or another game then I think that should be ok especially if it's a free game. But if your ripping and ripping from other people's games and your game is like 90% not yours that is wrong. Although i think one should also just take the time to make their own bird too if they can. But if the game's free and it's not much then I don't see a problem. If people nag about it put the credits in of course.

I hate to do it, but I'll bring up QG4½. Should they have ripped all the sprites? Probably not. Was it funny and enjoyable? Yeah. Am I a worser person for playing? More than likely. Thus, I have no answer.   :|

I would say yes, it is ok - AS LONG AS YOU HAVE ASKED PERMISSION.  But that answer isn't one of the choices.

It would be wrong, yes.

BUT if you change the sprite so that no one could say where it came from, you'll be OK.

It's the same in programming. Is it OK to use someone else's script in your own work? The tendency nowadays, thanks to the internet, is to copy and paste pieces of script. But still, if you change the script to fit your work and not have it as an obvious copy-and-paste you'd be fine.

The age old question: "Why reinvent the wheel?"

Just make sure to get rid of all evidence. :)

Its OK!
