I used IE and saw no reason to use anything else until one day a problem arose on my computer (I can't recall exactly what right now) and I got a huge spyware problem...it was so bad that it would not let me download spyware programs like adaware! Everytime I tried to install them it closed it automatically and when I restarted my computer it deleted the install file! WEIRD! Also had pop up problems. So I resorted to Firefox and it singlehandedly solved all my problems and it has a great downloading system as well! So I'll go with Firefox!

You should have added Netscape too as a lot of people use that.

How could i have forgotten Netscape? can a mod add it please.
I really like the download system in Mozilla to it's one of the features that drew me to the program.

I regularly scan my computer with sptware removers, adaware included. But Microsoft have released a free spyware detector which picked up 79 files that adawar didn't. You guys should give it a try

IE6 with XP2. I've got enough common sense to stay away from those bad programs, and Firefox doesn't provide me with enough new features to warrant a switch.

I still HAVE Firefox, though, for those odd cases where I need to visit a site where I know there'll be IE exploitation in masses.

I used to prefer Netscape, but Microsoft added all the missing features (which were very useful in Netscape)... so I prefer IE now only because it doesn't take an eon to load.

I use IE6, but only because I've never taken the tie to download anything else.  I once preferred Netscape until they were bought out by AOL.  >:

I only use Firefox in OpenBSD for general browsing. The only time I'll use IE is when I have to download a Windows-specific app. Other than that, my internet connection is always disabled when using Windows, and I figure if a page needs ActiveX, I don't need to see it. :)

A combination of FireFox/IE6. I like FireFox a lot, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Firefox really is perfection. I also use thunderbird.

IE is bloated. And it kind of represents the huge movement that MS is making in the wrong direction (in my opinion) to make everything more user friendly.

I don't know how anyone can conciously use IE, it is so full of security holes that it's ridiculous.  As soon as I accidently open IE I get about 5 popups, and about 20 new spyware in my computer.

Mozilla is just amazing, I never got a single pop-up since I have been using it, and the only spyware I get is from d/ling files from p2p programs.

Im at work right now using IE (don't know the model wasn't paying attention) and I didn't notice I wasn't using mozilla untill I came here. I honestly can't notice the difference between the 2. Although I am getting less pop ups since I switched over.

Yes, Firefox has a built in popup blocker which works perfectly. Annoying when you have to hold down CTRL when opening a link which opens as a popup.

OT: Where do you work, QFGFan?

I've never run into any links not working from the pop up blocker that I know of. and BTW I work at a ski resort right against the michigan border in Ontario. I make money for screaming at children (Snowboard instructing) and NEXT WEEK I GET TO DRESS UP AS A MASCOT AGAIN! W00T! I just hope lil girls don't attack me again. I was ambushed from behiend (I can't see in this giant dog thing anyways) by a 12 year old and then kicked in the ribs as I tried to stand and run. I wasn't allowed to make any noises at all because of the children.
