Ok. This poll is simply to see whether the Google adds will show comic adds.  :lol

Edit: Guess not.  :p

Edit: Oh no... there they are!

I'd have to say Justice League. Only because I think the best comics coming out at the moment are Green Lantern, and he's in the Justice League.

There's logic there if you look for it...  :rollin

I vote for Justice gang.  ;) I'm a comic fanatic. Talking about green latern the original green latern was white and the new one is black, I dont see why they changed the colour of his skin?

I dont think its right to re write classics to appear different, Im not being racists or anything but they should stick to the original origins like the rest of the super heroes.

Comics are cool. You forgot the "Other" option.

Read Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon. It's astonishing!

Yeah. That's currently the only comic I'm buying.

I just included it to see whether there would be Google adds for the upcoming movie. I don't like GhostRider that much, but there are a few... otherwise the comic would have been cancelled like... Electra etc.

Ghost Rider was actually a nickname given to me by a friend, after he saw me riding around on my old motorcycle.  I had my head shaved, was wearing my trench coat, and of course no helmet.  Why would I need a helmet?  (I like to think that I've become a little wiser since then)

The bike is a 1959 Honda.  Looks like the German bikes from the second World War, just without the sidecar.

Anyway, I guess the old bike, shaved head, and my slim figure reminded him of a skeleton riding a motorcycle... hence the name Ghost Rider.  I've used it online for years now.

It's one of the few nicknames I've been given that I like   ;)

Where's the "none of the above" option? I don't read comics.

Or "other" option? Since my voice goes to Praedor-comics.

The First GL you pictured was Hal Jordan, a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft. He got his ring from a dying alien when the alien's ship crash landed into earth. The ring detected two humans who would be great GL's, Hal and another dude by the name of Guy Gardner. Hal was closer and as the alien was dying quickly, the ring brought Hal along. Guy Gardner was later given a ring to make him a "reserve" Green Lantern.

When Guy was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone for over a year (comic time) another person was picked as the "reserve" Green Lantern. He was the second pic you posted, John Stewart.

Fast-Forward a few years and heaps of stuff has happened. Guy is back, he and Hal had a punchup over who was going to be GL of earth. Hal won. Happy Hal then went totally nuts and tried to destroy the universe to bring back a city that he was sworn to protect was destroyed by an evil yellow guy named Mongul (with the help of Hank Henshaw another bad guy).

That's probably the reason they use John Stewart in the Justice League television series. Which isn't a bad show but it's nothing on the comics.

Also just this month DC brought back Hal. He's a good guy again! Not a bad series to bring him back either.

I think he may be back in the new series called Justice League Unlimited, with all the other heroes like super girl, green arrow...

Really? Thats cool. I will never understand why the brough back SuperGirl though! I used to love her then they killed her off in the awesome mega-hit Crisis on Infinite Earths #7. There's no reason to bring her back. Stop messing with continuity DC you're starting to piss me off!

Hehe! That's what's so nice about reading the Marvel-letters. People keep asking 'Where's my fav character?' Then Marvel replies: "He died a year ago". And one can't help but to ask 'What's your point?'. They ALWAYS find a way to bring them back.

At least it sounds like Cyclops is about to die. About time!!

I have to reply to this, sorry about the bump...

The whole conversation about John Stewart reminded me of something on the DC Comics forums a while back.

People were talking about which Green Lantern they prefered, and this guy chimes in with "Y DOES GREEN LANTERN BLACK JOHN STEWART HAV 2 B BLACK?". No joke. I said "Because his mommy and daddy were" and somebody else said "I think he fell into a vat of molasses."

Anyway, as to what I'm reading... Astonishing X-Men for me as well, Villains United, which is actually truckloads better than I thought it would be a cool miniseries, Justice Society of America, and I have to catch up on the Flash, Fantastic Four and Spidey. Also, I just finished the last Hellboy mini, the Island. Was a good read, looking forward to more HB stuff.

As for Ghost Rider... well, he had no comic when this was started. However, a six-issue miniseries about him written by Garth Ennis just started coming out this week, and it looks to be good. I have yet to pick it up, though. Here's a little interview with Garth Ennis about it: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/ ... gi?id=5846

I've never been much of a fan of Smallville. I don't know whether you've noticed (even in the first few series) that certain characters appeared, but they never got the attention they should have got. (They've used their real names... not their nicks) In fact... some of them were supposed to be good guys, but ended up being bad guys in the series. But I know a lot of people who love Smallville, who previously didn't like Superman at all.

Unfortunately it seems that the movie won't be influenced by Smallville. I think that's a big mistake.
