Yeah, I'm afraid we'll be better off not trying to mimic the old Tierra style too closely. The color change that accompanied the name change was rather intentional.
Didn't he have 4000? Now he barely has 3000.
Post count in this forum is calculated by counting the total amount of posts that appear in this forum. Vildern's posts in the random rant thread and his posts in discussions that moved off the 20th page of the OT-forum have been deducted from his post count.

"I pity da fool who tries to postwhore his way back to his original postcount, and then goes crying home to his mamma!" :p

Post counts aren't everything, you know. ;)

new forums

I think that I will like the new forums better than the old. I'm going to have to figure out the new interface and how new topics are marked though.

New posts...

#57 Post by navynuke04 » Sun Apr 04, 2004 11:36 am

I used the "New" image from the old forums on the main page. I wanted to keep the theme similar. When you actually enter a forum and get the list of threads, you can see a key at the bottom of the page. This tells you what images mean what.

Passwords

#60 Post by navynuke04 » Sun Apr 04, 2004 8:04 pm

Erpy's been great with the passwords. I keep checking there to see if there are any for me to do and there isn't. The only time I've gotten to do passwords was once while Erpy was sleeping.

And I'm back in the game!

Thanks Navy for the quick reply.

A few questions if I may.

- Can I change the number of posts displayed per page?
- Can I make it so the topics are ordered by most recently replied to (I think at the moment it is ordered by most recently started, or something)?

Thanks AGDI team for another great surprise.

The new boards are better than the old ones I agree with that one, but of the down falls is that we will miss all the good times that we have had in the old boards.

We'll just have to replace them with the good times we have at the new ones. Wheee!!

Unfortunately, no. The number of posts displayed per page is a global value, and is not allowed to be different for each user. I used the default (which I believe was 50). It suits me well for my browsing needs. I'd be willing to change it if enough people asked for it though...
- Can I make it so the topics are ordered by most recently replied to (I think at the moment it is ordered by most recently started, or something)?
Kind of yes... What I mean is, when the boards were transferred over, I believe it arranged many of the threads as most recently started. However, as people post reply's to them, they are moved to the top of the list. This will right itself after a while when all the out of order threads sink away...

50 posts per page should be enough to browse with any ways.

Ah, that's weird. I'm getting less per page then. This thread (65 posts as I type this) is onto its 3rd page for me. :(

By 50 threads per page, I meant under the forum. I guess a better way to say it is 50 topics per page.

I don't remember how many posts per page the forums is set up for.

I like these new forums much better. I don't like ezboard because it gives me problems. It's good to be back on the forums! I'd like to put a picture up by my name. I can't go to the AGDI FAQ and QFGII FAQ. It says this page cannot be displayed. I'd like to go there and read. I'm wondering, will QFGII be finished in May?
