Favourite protaganist in a Sierra game?

#1 Post by Amayirot Akago » Tue May 18, 2004 9:31 am

Seems pretty obvious to me. Vote and maybe give an explanation why.

My vote goes to Roger, of course. Any guy with that much dumb luck just is impossible not to like.

I like Laura Bow, cause she has a certain attitude towards things. Well...maybe I didn't like her very much in CB but I guess she dried up a little bit after seeing all those dead bodies.

Gabriel Knight... the idea this is all his destiny and he has to fight the past (at least in GK1) makes him a tortured hero.

He does fetch quite a hotty outta the tower. And lucky for him, unlike Shrek, she stays pretty! :p

Gabriel Knight all the way. You just don't find an undeniably awesome protagonist like that anymore.

I vote Larry. 2 reasons:

1. Al Lowe. Nuff said. (Speaking of which, it will be interesting to find out how LSL8 will do...)
2. It was through LSLITLOTLL (Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, AKA Larry 1) that I learnt much of my basic English. Can't remember how old I was at the time, except it was less than 6 years.

I believe AGD1 played it at E3. (she talked to plenty of representatives there, including reps from VU) She said it was fun to play, yet very different from the former games.

I voted the Hero because:

1. being danced to death by the faries

2. becoming a giant Banana Slug

Mine has always been Larry. Unlike Graham (who is cool in KQ5), Larry has had personality from the beginning of the series and has been a role-model for me since i was 7 ;) .

If LL is a role-model, you're not getting laid very much (he always gets it at the end, but up until the end, the poor guy doesn't have much luck).

If you've got a walkthrough, I hope you're skipping to the end!

Roger Wilco always seems to do just the right amount of bumbling around to save the day. (Though Larry does his share too.)

Graham is the one who started the adventure genre from a 3rd person perspective. (after the texted based games such as Mystery House ect)

I'm going for Sonny. I remember wanting to be a cop after playing PQ3 more than anything else in the whole world.

Do you really think Larry's cute or are you just patronizing him?

He looks really seedy in the ega ones, but i guess the vga Larrys with oversized head, stumpy legs and that goofy gold chain, are sort of cute.
