Americans celebrate Labor Day on the first Monday in September, so May Day is nothing special for us. Oddly enough, many Americans spend May Day getting ready for Cinco de Mayo, which is acutually celebrated here more than it is in Mexico.

Same thing here in Canada. I was just wondering about all the other people who do celebrate Labour Day on May 1.

I think you accidentally hit "M" instead of the key you wanted.

I think you accidentally hit "M" instead of the key you wanted.
Please enlighten me then. Which key did I want?

This is just a far-fetched assumption on my part, but I have the sneaking suspicion that he meant to imply you wanted to type "Gay Day". If you check the most recent posts of the person who made that comment, you'll see that he made several "unconstructive" remarks after having having a slight comparison of conflicting views with what seemed to be the rest of the community. This remark may very well be one of those random bites afterwards.

Yes. I suspected as much when I read Duckzilla's other posts.

Well, another May Day has come and gone. Anyone do anything special? Fight police in a riot? Wave red flags and sing The Internationale?

Oh well.... :p

I filed my taxes.
The government owes me *some* money back. They still took a ton, but at least I'm getting some of it back.
I would have been really mad if they were going to take even more away.

I ate at Wendy's.. watched the race at Talladega... and played football for a while..
*didn't realize May 1st was a holiday*
I do, in fact, plan for celebrations on thursday though. Cinco de Mayo translates into English as "Get drunk in celebration of Mexico Day." Who am I to break such cherished traditions?

Most of the world celebrates Labour Day on May first.

Mayday just so happens to be my birthday, too bad it's not an option. I usually incite some sort of riot just to gain some closure to aging another year. This next one makes 20, which I hear totally sucks.

Hmmm I thought I might be the only one doing it. I'm a Wiccan so Mayday (Beltane) involves a maypole. With enough people it's actually kinda fun.

How come there's no choice for "drank some beer"?
... and if you don't like beer, then there should be a choice for "drank some rootin' tootin' root beer"
I guess I should just check off "Nothing Special".

I drank some beer... again. How boring/predictable can one be?
