Feanor

#51 Post by Velocity » Wed Jun 02, 2004 9:05 pm

I would not consider Feanor all that great. He created the silmarils, yes, but it was him who caused the fall of the Noldor, which subsequently caused all evil in the world to gain power. It was Melkor using Feanor's creation and vanity that caused all that happened in the Silmarillian and Lord of the Rings.

I think one day it will get made. By like four different teams and they'll all release at the same time.
Yes, but LucasFan Games will release its KQ3VGA months before them. The KQ3-X-prize will be mine! :smokin

Thought I'd contribute my part for the QFG2 voices.

It would be rather dificult for the voice pack to be on the level with QG4 man i loved listening to that narrator.

But yeah a quality voice pack would be nice. Maybe some selective conversations like in fallout, for example the scene in dead parrot Inn when Ferrari has his hand over the hero. It just calls for voices there. Course it will be hard to match the voice of QG5.

BTW who did they get to do the voice I was preety sure the Fatman from the movies is dead by now but Ferrari sounds exactly like him.

The guy who did Ferrari's voice is of course, not the original actor who played in Casablanca, but Michael Sorich. Check his filmography Here
Interesting, he was also the voice of Edward VanHelgen in The Curse of Monkey Island, and of Don Copal/Tube-Switch Repairman in Grim Fandango.

Edit: Even more interesting is that the voice of Andre was done by...
Ann Agrama?!? :lol

Voices

Hah! I don't know how they got that put up for Andre's voice, but that is funny. I do recognize Andre's voice, though; it's Steven Blum, one of the most-used VA today (and that can be a bad thing; it becomes harder to disguise his voice).

Should the remote possibility of a couple of spoken lines be added to the final game, I thought I'd post the links to my online auditions for KQ9 here, for AGDI's interest (and anyone who wants to listen to them).

It would seem wierd if there were speech in QFG2 and QFG4, but not QFG3.

What QFG2 does need is the 5th elemental, the Pizza Elemental!

Charles, which part of Space Quest IV or Space Quest VI did that quote come from?!??! I've never heard that one before in my life!

Now I'm going to scour the whole of those SQ games looking for it...

You know... ... ..

#66 Post by Charles269 » Thu Jul 29, 2004 12:43 am

Actually, I honestly can't remember which one it's from. I *think* it was SQ4, and I'd never even heard it in the game myself. I just happened to be trolling through the AUD file, and heard it. I just *knew* I had to record that for some later obscure QFG reference bragging. :D

If I had to guess, I'd say try smelling the lettuce at the Monolith Burger. :D

If, by any chance, someone is doing a voice pack, I'd sure like to play it.
Heck, I'd like to be in it to. I could be the hero, who only says, like, 4 things, and that's with the silly clowns option on. :lol :rollin
Seriously. :|

Well, if you want, I can volunteer my splendid voice for the game, if, of course, I don't have to do any work.

i just read through this thread for the first time - and played BT's recordings for the first time as well - and thought you might be interested in knowing that for whatever reason, me playing those recordings set off the clapper my brother has hooked up to the lamp down here.
