I figured I'd mention for those that don't know.

Bryan Singer will NOT be directing X3. He instead is taking off for the long-awaited Superman V.

Seriously.

DISCUSS!

Probably, this is what James Marsden meant when he mysteriously said "one of us will probably not return", which puzzled people cause Halle had said she hadn't been asked, that she loved working with the cast and at this point she felt committed to return still.

Where does this information come from? I find it hard to believe that Superman V would come out over a decade after Superman IV.

Variety confirmed it today.

Well, we'll have to wait and see. Singer has a deal with Fox for the third installment, so he won't be getting away with it very easily.

My heart is broken. Wait, no.

Maybe it's time to get some new blood in the X-Men Franchise. Not that I think that Singer did a horrible job...... quite the contrary..... he did a really amazing job, in my opinion. But I think it would be cool to get a new director's perspective in there.

It's kinda like the Star Wars Movies:

Original Trilogy: Three Different Directors= Good, Varied and Interesting

New Trilogy: Same Director for all Films=Flat, bland and nothing new offered

I'm sorry... but the first 2 X-men movies were horrible. When you compare it to Hulk, Spider-man and others. Obviously you can compare to them!!

It felt like a bunch of snobbish kids talking big and rarely showing anything to backup their claims of 'great power'. Why can't they use the same special effects as Hulk and Spiderman?

but... we'll see. So what happened to the 'Superman & Batman' movie they've been promising?

I'd like to put down my vote for Joss Whedon to take on the reigns of X3.

man...the hulk..worst movie ever... how can you say that to be better then anything? Even pearl Harbor or (put's up flame shield) Austin Powrs granted they did get better to the end and it is directed at my kind of immaturity I notice my dad (51) finds them a lot funnier then I do.

Yeah, I read that about Singer too. That's a good thing IMHO - but, losing him for X3 would not be good.

The critics gave the best reviews to the X-men movies, certainly not the Hulk, cause it was...well....one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I've never watched The Hulk, so I can't comment on that, but I thought the first two X-Men movies were good.

Anybody read the article on the Onion not too long ago written by the Hulk asking why there hadn't been a sequel yet. Very funny stuff.

Geez. That's very uncool. I feel like screaming right now, but X3 could be good without the Bryan Singer. I don't know. :\

Yeah, the more I think of it, the more I'm disliking it. I hope the whole thing won't fall apart, cause I will hate that. :(

Ok kids, now news reports are indicating Singer will be back for X3 and a possibly back-to-back X4. How the hell will the man sleep?!?

Still, if they keep him, both movies should be quite good and entertaining

I agree the Hulk movie sucked. But the X-men sucked in another category. That was stupid special effects and it looked like movies made in the 70s.

And why did they have to make jokes about the clothes? If they didn't like the costumes, just... don't mention it. It felt like a stupid way to explain the x-men doesn't wear their costumes. 'What? You expected blue and yellow spandex?' or something like that. In fact... these new costumes are even more pathetic than the costumes they joked about.

Why did they have to mention Rogue's real name???? Rogue doesn't have a name!! At that time it was the biggest secret in the X-men.

The second movie was quite a bit better than the first one. But still... in the end the main bad guys were just too easy to defeat.

------

Let me put it this way... the only reason why most X-Men fans liked the movies was that you saw your heroes on the big screen. 'Hey look! That's Colossus', 'hey look there's Gambit's name', etc.

They messed up the story-line!

Halle Berry should never have played the role of Storm. She didn't fit the role at all. Is she Storm or Catwoman. Hmmm... I think she messed up both characters for me.

Catwoman... I dare someone to find a somewhat positive review somewhere.

And hello Relight, fellow browncoat! Have you been reading all the extra reports from the set. I'm soooo jealous of them.
