Heh heh. A better question is what I don't play.
I don't play:
FPS - Just Jedi Knight for me
Sports - Bleh
Realistic Racing - Its too boring without items and powerups
X-box - Its EVIL!!!

I play a few LucasArts games, such as Jedi Knight and the last Indy one they did was pretty decent. That's when I have any time (read: never) :p

Only adventure games. Just them. Anyone who plays anything else must be sacrificed on the Altar Of The Half-Dome.

THERE IS ONLY ADVENTURE GAMES.

When I don't play adventure/RPG games, I usually play puzzle games. Logic puzzles, not jigsaw puzzles. A prime example is Picross (also known as Japanese crosswords, nonograms, paint by numbers, etc., etc.), or those magazine puzzles such as where you have to find out who drinks water and who owns the zebra.

One of the few games I've recently played that really had me captivated is the cracking sim Uplink. You can really feel the adrenaline flow as you see the Trace Tracker show them nearing you, and you realize you need to finish this thing in just a few seconds, because they've almost reached the last bounce point - and you need to delete your logs from that server too, because if you don't, they'll trace you through the logs you left behind on your bounces.
And to make matters worse, if you're caught, you have to start all over - because your save file is deleted.

I have a thing for wrestling games, they rock. The amount of times I play WWF No Mercy it's unhealthy. I play all games really, but if you mean what I prefer, then adventure games, wrestling games, and Zelda type games.

I don't even like wrestling, when it comes from TV I pretty soon go and change the channel.. But the games have certain something.. They just are good, damnit..

My favorite game for the last 12 months has been Vice City. I'm a huge fan of platform games (I still play Mario3 on my NES Emulator).

But I mostly don't play games. As anyone involved in a fan game team can agree with, I spend more time making games than playing them.

Games

#15 Post by Brainiac » Mon Aug 02, 2004 5:10 am

The top of the list for my gaming habits are adventure games (The Longest Journey, King's Quest, etc.), RPGs (Final Fantasy, Quest for Glory, etc.) and puzzle games (The Fool's Errand, MYST, etc.). I also play some platformers, but the first three are my focus. Gotta love games that make you think!

Adventures were definitely my favourite gender of the 80s and 90s though they seem to be rather rare these days. My favourite series is of course Quest for Glory. Everquest is my choice nowadays. Closest thing to modern, online QFG :)

I don't play adventures all that often these days... gotta get to em again sometime tho. I have loads of games that I still have to finish.

But these days I'm mostly into games like GTA Vice City and Unreal Tournament 2004.

I did finish Beyond Good & Evil a few months back; excellent game.

Well, in my Cult, we wear robes that say "Sierra" on them. Once, one member tried to bring a Nintendo into our compound. We ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chanti.

Other than adventure games, I like to play:
strategies (Warcraft, Magic&Mayhem, Dungeon Keeper, etc),
some role-playing games (Diablo, Fallout, etc),
a few ego-shooters (Return to Castle Wolfenstein).
I used to play:
jump and runs (classical Aladdin, Earthworm Jim, etc),
and "tycoon" games (transport, pizza, etc).

I don't play:
sport games, simulators, platformers
