QG2 Easteregg possibilities

#1 Post by Senic » Sat Aug 07, 2004 5:09 am

Check out this page, it's just a gag site, hasn't been updated since 98 I don't think, but its got some great easter egg ideas, and check out his QG2 VGA screen shot, not bad.

on my browser the page would close on its own sometimes, but its worth the trouble, cool site.

We're not really down to the easter eggs yet...those are usually the last things to be added. I can tell you that any easter egg that requires lots of extra animation (like changing the hero sprite or an extra battle scene) probably wouldn't make it in, though.

You've got a good taste! Really, that site is too good, it's best to have this site in the list of all good sites. I even really believed they had tips I didn't knew about 'till I noticed I was mistaken.

The really amazing thing is that, none of those cheats work. They're all fake. Good pics, though.

At least, I think they're fake. They never worked on mine.

I'm gonna have to assume they're fake. If they're not, maybe they should have spent more time on the actual game than easter eggs. :p

I will reassure you, I forgot to tell none of these cheats works, the pictures near those cheats are all fakes and I felt in the trap when I really thought I could use these cheats.

Fake as hell, but funny just the same. I remember stumbling across that site back when I was like 6 and thinking everything was real. I was SO freakin' disappointed when none of that stuff worked. I really wanted to play through QFG4 as Indiana Jones =(

QfG indy

#12 Post by Radiant » Fri Aug 13, 2004 3:59 pm

Well, that is actually possible. All you need to do is create a VIEW for indy, and place it in your QfG4 directory named 'VIEW.000'. It's easier if you want Roger Wilco, you can just grab the view from SQ5 or SQ6.

How do you grab the view from SQ5?

True, but that's sort of the cheating/hacking way to play as Indy. But I mean...it still wouldn't be the same, Indy doesn't have all the animations that the QFG hero does...and combat sequences...ahhh. Yea, definitely not the same.

Hmmm. Imagine fighting Ad Avis and all those revenants as Roger Wilco, though. That'd be hot. Sort of. In a spliced, messed up, drugged kind of way.

You'd need a crapload of replacement animations though. Like mentioned before, the hero has a lot of animations for all his actions.
