Besides the challange, I never saw the point in designing his own engine for the game. Still, I miss the game.

You should ask Muzlak. He seems to understand. ;)

It is time now to question you more on this subject!

#28 Post by Fribbi » Thu Sep 09, 2004 11:00 am

Since Radiant has been remaking KQ3 has AGDI then taked that game out of the gamelist because you don't want to remake a game if another gamewriter are making the same game.

Is there any other Sierra games you have taken out from the game list you wanted to remake?

I sound like I am working on a newspaper eh hahahaha! But have no worry. But no you got me wrong! It was just a simple question to you guys. :lol

We haven't taken anything out of any game list yet. SQ2VGA was to be a 1:1 remake. KQ3VGA would have a bit more personal flavor. I stated other KQ3-projects would not influence a potential KQ3 project by AGDI the day the first alternative KQ3-project was announced. (a year ago, by now) That statement still stands. If we feel like remaking it, we will.

Oh no! That means my Larry game I am working on is still in danger! I will lose all my fans to your site if you are going to remake that game in the future. Buhuuuhuuuhuuu! :cry

But that is fine to me if you must know hahaha! :rollin

Talking of which, will your KQ3-remake have any strange twists in it LF? Perhaps playing Rosy instead of Alex?? :p

Edit: If you must make a KQ3, why not create a new QfG game? You know... QfG solutions to KQ3!! Then I'll play it for sure!! Imagine fighting those thieves that always pop up... also the pirates and medussa (there was a medussa in there somewhere, right?)

Correct.

Not a bad idea.

No, the remake will have a couple of minor story enhancements, but aside from that, it's a straight 1:1 remake. We're going to leave the "plus" version for Radiant. He's doing a good job.

I've got to say, having extensively beta tested all the KQ3+ releases so far, that Radiant's method of replacing the copy protection for the spells was brilliant. Now each spell has a set of symbols giving the casting instructions, and one of the game puzzles is figuring out how to decipher them. :D

Ok... so how long will it take you guys? When will you be finished (both Radiant's and IA's) with the alpha and beta testing?

Why do I ask???

So you guys can stop making KQ-games and focus on QfG games!! Yeah!

Okay, okay, my policy has always been to pose a strict deadline of August, 2014. I assure you that KQ3+ will be completed by then (as well as KQ2.5, and if I may make an estimate, so will QfG2V, QfI, FOY, KQ9 and a number of other projects including AGDI's secret next game).

And I officially promise to consider looking into the feasibility of thinking about QfG gaming afterwards.

Production of Quest For Infamy is progressing at the same time, so I'm concentrating on both. I'll say this: Quest For Infamy is HUGE. It's a reaaallly big shooooooow. Which should make it a chore to complete, but it will happen.... cause it's too cool NOT to! I swear, if I have to code, draw and animate the entire thing myself, I will!!!

Kq2.5

#45 Post by Radiant » Wed Sep 15, 2004 3:48 pm

Hi there,

the demo for KQ2.5 is temporarily unavailable because of server problems. But it was only a three-room teaser, anyway. If you want it fast, maybe one of the forum people can mail it to you.
