Our Hero (you), Having defeated the Brigands at Speilburg, travels to the land of Shapeir by magic carpet. His friends had told him before that Shapeir needs a Hero too. Boy, were they right. Shapeir's sister city had been totally ruined, and Shapeir was going to be next! Can he protect Shapeir from the elementals and restore Raseir to its former glory? Or will he be forced to: [RESTORE] [RESTART] [QUIT]? Thats up to you.

How did I do?

Oh yeah, you also get to choose your character type. Fighter, Wizard, or Thief. They all have alternate solutions to most of the puzzles. The best example is "The Door Puzzle". The Fighter would break down a locked door, the Wiz would use his magic to unlock the door, and the Thief would pick the lock. "The Cliff Puzzle" also expains the differences well, The Fighter would jump off the cliff (He's tough, don't worry about him), The Wizard would float down, and the Thief would use a rope. Theres also a secret class... Hope you enjoy the game.

Although the secret class only becomes available as an export for players wanting to play the 3rd game in the series - you can't play the secret class in Trial By Fire

I recommend that you play Quest For Glory I first so that you can get an idea of how the game works and so that you can import you character from QFG I to QFG II.

I think you can get the game at ebay.

Good suggestion. Just in case you're not familiar with the series, Sierra did a VGA remake of it some years back. You'd do better to look for that, or for the QFG Anthology which has all of them (AFAIK).

QFG2

#8 Post by mikhail » Wed Nov 03, 2004 8:42 am

Over the years I've gone back to replay QFG1 (remake) and always have loved it. I played the 2nd original 16 color, looked horrible sounds horrible have to type everything... but hey that doesnt even matter, the style of the game was great. cool persian city. try typing "pick nose" too.
I bought a CD with the QFG series from 1 - 4, at the time it was probably $20 or so... that was years back so I bet you can get it real cheap now on eBay or whatever.

I played KQ from AGDI, I guess they did a good job on redoing the game but I never played the originals, and it was pretty spacy like you have no idea where to go or what to do.

Eh, in conclusion... don't do drugs, and stop yelling at those president guys. and GQF is a great game.

If you're ever curious about the meaning of an acronym, a good site to find out about them is http://www.acronymfinder.com

More like $60 for the collection from eBay.

Thats just one person trying to rip you off. I'm looking on eBay and I'm finding all 5 games for $9. Not the official "collection cd" but its the same, bit with all boxes.
I also looked at amazon, the collection is selling for $40 I think, but some of the prices are screwed up. It will have the game listed for $40, then when you click on the link there its $140.. probably just price error, but I wouldnt even pay $40. the games are on eBay for cheap anyways.
