It was also an object lesson in why political discussions should be left to political forums. Topics like that tend to provoke knee-jerk reactions rather than well-reasoned discourse anyway.

And sometimes Politics is more interesting than another thread like "What is your favorite Sierra Game?", "What game would you like to see remade in VGA?" or "I'm making a new game, it's gonna be cool, but I can't do anything myself."

That mean mod would be me and I removed it at the request of the creator of the thread. Charlemagne's remark about these kinds of things getting out of hand extremely quickly was also a point that was overly obvious to both the starter of this thread and myself. So I deleted it, thereby killing off my own large response I wrote a few minutes earlier in the process as well.

Not certain where he went. I noticed a post of his on Lucasfan's MMD-forums where he was complaining about...the woodcutter's hut bug in KQ1VGA. (no, really) I didn't bother to look at the date, so I'm not positive if he needed a shoulder to cry on after his ban or if he simply posted it as a random jab at us.
I notified him of the removal of his ban though, so he can't pledge ignorence.

But I'm usually the one who takes it upon himself to lecture people about the policies and netiquette around here. (and pulls the plug on them if they fail to grasp the hint)
