i'm handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, and i'm dressed up as a cynical disillusioned individual in her early 20's who will be damn glad when the election is over.

Since Halloween falls on a Sunday, we had our Halloween day at work this past Friday instead. I was the Grim Reaper. Someone called me Skeletor... which I guess is sort of close. Other than that, no one seems to be doing much around here today.

Skeletor - that would be an awesome costume!

I think I dressed up as He-Man once, since I got the He-Man showbag at the Royal Melbourne Show, which falls shortly before halloween. I had a plastic sword, shield and belt... good times.

I was American Mcgee's Alice for halloween. I have pictures on my computer somewhere but I can't find them. It was a fun costume to put together. My boyfriend and I were supposed to go trick-or-treating but we ended up giving out candy watching movies instead.

bah ... there were only 10 trick-or-treaters here at the apt., so i ended up giving the candy to the men's music fraternity tonight. i think they're just going to get high and then eat it. whatever, i didn't want it. so, i spent halloween watching reruns and making apple pie. i make good pie, i really do.

I just handed out candy on Halloween, but I went to a couple of dances/partys on the two days before. I was Clark Kent, people loved it. I was kind of sad however, that I didn't have any little kids around this year to take trick or treating, as I ususally have just as much fun taking them around as they do going around.

Halloween, like Christmas, is really more for children than anything else, and I think it's really impossible to fully enjoy those holidays without them around so that one can see the magic through their eyes.

I had a great Halloween. True, I just handed out candy but I had a costume that helped me freak out almost every trick-or-treater that came by. I dressed up in a white T-shirt, light blue jeans, a bald wig and glopped a water/flour mixture all over my head and arms. Everytime a little girl showed up I'd say, "kiss me." Sometimes this was done before I handed out the candy and sometimes afterwards. Oh the reactions I got were great!

None of them kissed me. Most of them backed away or ran back to their parents, one actually firmly said "No" and walked forcefully away. Oh, it was the most fun I've had at Halloween in years!

Next year, I think I'll still pass out candy but instead of the zombie/ghoul/mummy/boogie man costume I'll be a psychotic clown! I'll dress up in a standard clown costume, but use vampire blood capsules to make blood trail from my mouth, splatter the costume with ketchup or some other red substance, and carry a meat cleaver. For fun, I may also stuff some clothes and using foam and ketchup, I'll make it look like a hand, head and foot had been brutally removed. What do you think?

I had two Halloween parties. Maybe I'll put pictures online of my costume, which looked really silly.

Furthermore, I buried an apple and rembered the dead, you know, the usual Halloween-stuff.
