My favourite DOS game is Anacreon: Reconstruction 4021. It's the best space strategy/war/intergalactic conquest game I've ever played. The graphics may be primitve by today's standards, but its fun factor and replay value can't be beat.

The amazing fluid gameplay of Commander Keen (mainly 4...6) is something very few games on the PC have been able to reproduce. Those games rocked.

On your list, Commander Keen. I love those games, adn Erpy's right. The way the work is more console than PC. The better games are Jazz Jackrabbit though they're not on the list.

I always thought id Software was the only company that could convince me to play something else than adventure... Commander Keen was definately one of their better vintage games. And (don't kill me now) Doom was also great. After Quake though, their games started to get boring (good graphics, but bad gameplay).

Keen was great. :) Jill was nice, but not quite Commander Keen. :)

hehe. :) I've recently played Dangerous Dave again. Silly game. :) Annoyingly addictive considering the graphics quality vs. the time period. (1990)

Edit: That's actually a very strange DOS-game list. There are 10 times better DOS games (even older than these).

Wolfenstein 3d was an awesome game. I'd still enjoy playing it today, no doubt.

Of the ones on the list I loved Keen, Jill, and Doom. My favourite dos platformer was Duke Nukem (the original 3 episodes).

You forgot Bio Menace, Duke Nukem, Blake Stone, Wolfenstein, and Lemmings!

But from those it's good ol' Keen!

Of all the games listed I only know the Keen and Doom games. I voted for Keen because it is more fun in the long run (even though I kind of liked shooting monsters in Doom, it got a bit dull after playing through 30 or so levels.)

Oh yeah! Many hours spent on that classic. Ten times better than any modern 3D - Flight Simulator.

Edit: Guess what!! Someone's 'converting' this classic to work on modern computers!! Woooohoooo!! Just search for it on Google.
