Did AGDI already decide which next EGA sierra game

#1 Post by guyper1 » Fri Nov 26, 2004 10:59 pm

will they remake?

These 3 EGA sierra games would be my 1st choice to see them being remade

1. Police Quest 2
2. Colonel's Bequest
3. Camelot of Longbow

I don't mind which one AGDI would pick first out of those 3

What are you guys 1st 3 choice games to see remade?

I'd like to see Camelot of Longbow... a crossover in which King Arthur meets Robin Hood would be very interesting <grin>

I'd love to see Camelot. But with unveiling of Himalaya Studios it looks like they might just move on and do their own stuff soon. It would rule if they could fit in at least ONE more remake, though.

What? Oh my god, if they ever stop to remake them, who's gonna remake them then or can somebody else even remake them as good as AGDI does?

AGDI was the one that made me remembered how much I loved Sierra adventure games back in the early days...

Am sure they do.

#I would like to see CoC remake, it was one of the best sierra games and a bit underrated, I loved the Ice queen. :lol

*cough* I know a group of individuals. I won't give the link but they are remaking King's Quest 3. ;)

Hopefully, there are some groups out there that will continue the AGDI tradition. They're an inspiration, for sure.

There are so many projects going on maybe someone could make a new company and atcually finish a game. But I see that IA is doing a great job.

When they first started to make the King Quest by Sierra was there any others fans who were trying to make a game created by Sierra on same time it was in progress? The reason why I ask this is because after KQ1VGA was released I see more and more little fan company are deticating their work for Sierra games fans. It's like AGDI has inspired some fans to do it.

I would definitely say that AGDI has caused a lot of people to attempt to create related games, either remake or plot-related fangames. I do believe that the projects for Hero/6, KQ9 and Indy:FoA2 predate AGDI's KQ1V, but none of these projects have been completed yet.

Who said they were going to remake another game? They never said they weren't going to mind you, but nothing has been said about the next step.

Honestly, I'd like to see them make their OWN games. We've seen what they are capable of...so why not let them take it to the next level? Why is everyone so, "I want this game remade, yadda yadda"? Sure, we all love the classics, but part of the reason they ARE classic is because they aren't modern, if people just remake them all, you strip it of its history, and the whole reason we fell in love with the games in the first place.

AGDI has kept up the legacy Sierra created. I think it's time we let them create their own legacy.

I agree. I wont mind if AGDI dont make any more remakes after QFG2, I mean they have finished 2 remakes and going on 3,I mean its time for a long/ish break for them to start their own games. Even if they stop making remakes the AGDI community will still be alive.

I say go forth and make new original games. We know they can think up some pretty good original stuff (KQ2+), lets see what they can do with a full story. Let some other people make fan remakes and get their feet wet doing that, so they can go on to making original games that will wow and amaze people, and so on and so forth.

However, I'd still love to see someone- ANYONE- remake Colonel's Bequest. That game is awesome but the orange skinned people kind of creep me out.

I'd like to see a remake of Space Quest 3, my favorite of that series.

Personally I would like to see Space quest 2 remade - that was the best EGA game in my opinion.

I would love to see "Conquests of Camelot."  I spent many weeks as a child playing this came, I would love to revisit it once again in full VGA glory.

Oh,  I know what the joke is. And as I recall, the whole problem with that situation was that Mr. Kast (it was Jodo Kast, right?) didn't actually make the game. He just claimed he was going to. Over and over and over again.

I'd still like to play a VGA version, though.
