AGDI have previously said that they won't create a QFG forum until the game has actually been released, since any speculation/discussions until then can be handled by the General Forum. And they've also stated that the beta version will be ready when it's ready.

AGDI's had beed said they made (drawn, redrawn and written) ALL corridors and they made (drawn, redrawn and written) ALL characters.

WHAT have they must to do?

By all ways and in BIG CASE = SCRIPTS ...

It's a thing of THE BETA-Testing...

Well there is still much scripting to be done before it's ready for testing. All the artwork that has been worked on in the last while still has to be scripted into the game after all. Also, the game has to go through a round of internal alpha testing before we start the public beta testing. So you are right, a lot has been getting done. But there is still a bit more to do before we start thinking about beta testing.

Oh, and welcome to the boards sytsky1!

Fully agree.

But of two moments one:

First:

I supposed that scripting debugging is NOT 3 weeks = SO is rejects AGDI's noticement in forums and in FAQ's, and in theinventory19 that beta-version had been to compete in 2004. So - BETA-testing DOES MATTER !

Second:

I supposed alpha-version is earlier than beta (trivially!)

P.S.

I WANNA be AS Beta so MUCH as ALPHA-TESTER =

MY Portfolio:

1. I ended QFG2 100 times = I know ALL Secrets = So I can
1.1 'DIE' ALL Variants.
1.2 MAke ALL IMPOSSIBLE Variantls to GO.
1.3 I CAN GO to Spielburg from Shapeir and finish Game.

AGDI's: PLEASE CONSIDER ME AS a TESTER =
IT IS YOURS CHOICE - ALPHA OR BETA , OR NONE.

P.P.S. Sorry for my not fluent English -
I'm from Russia.

We are not allowing any public to alpha test the game.

When we start beta testing, we will announce it on these forums so everyone knows. There will be an application you can fill out then.

The AGDs don't have a lot of time to check the forums, becuase they work hard on the games.

That is why they have people to answer your questions. The people you can trust to tell you the truth are:

Erpy, NavyNuke, Adeyke, Wolfgang and me!

Correct me if I'm wrong but an Alpha release of a program is the public "on the shelf bug-free" release isn't it? Beta releases are the buggy versions.

Alpha is when you are adding sprites backgrounds and everything else before beta testing.

Betas testing is the time when people make sure the game is bug free.

Gamma is when a game is released and has many bugs, like QFG4 CD version for example.

If we use the word alpha-version, we mean the game's basically completed, but will be tested by the team itself to root out the gravest bugs before the game goes beta.

Y'know, you could've saved yourself from earning a few more nerd points by just saying "Uhh, frat guys need to know the alphabet! Yeah!" But no, you went for the truth...freak. :p

I'm just too honest for my own good, I guess...

...and in truth, I'd rather be a intellectual mythology geek than a drunken frat boy. ;)

Uh, Kurdt said I should have said I was a frat guy; I'm saying I prefer being a geek.  Get it?  It's not an attempt at an insult.

Well I stand corrected.

To defend my preconvieved ideas though, I used to be a Beta-Tester for Microsoft and on one of their products they sent me a Beta copy of a program and asked me to check out a pile of stuff and send back the report so they could fix the bugs and release an Alpha release to the public.

:rollin Sounds like Microsoft. Have Beta testers fix the bugs, then release the Alpha with all the bugs still in it, so they can make more money on tech support. :p

A drunken, intellectual, mythology geek frat boy?

Not all frat boys are dumb, but many are drunk :)
