Hi.

Who will be Mr and Miss Valentine in this forum? You get to decide! From now until Feb 14, post here who you think should be Mr and Miss Valentine and why. There's no prize to be won, and this is just for fun. The only rule here is that you can't vote for yourself.

Oh, I vote for no one, since in all honestly, I HATE the concept of Valentines Day. It was made up by the greedy Chololate and Card companies to rape your wallet. You don't need one special day to show someone you care, you should use that opportunity everyday.

Although true, and personally I agree with you, it's something that as a guy I'm pretty much obliged to do, particually if I'm keen on a bird and she knows that. It's sad, but that's life. Besides, it's not more romantic or whatever, but it's still a nice day.

Not to mention that it's actually utter nonsense, considering the european-keltic festivities, the period between Imbolc & the vernal equinox was one of love and fertility; so it has actually roots in very old festivities from non-commercial times.

Don't rag on Takari, guys. True, there MIGHT have been festivities when the day was invented, but then again every day that was a saint's day had festivities happen on it back then. And, since just about every saint has a day, and we only celebrate 2 saints days (Halloween doesn't count because Nov. 1 is the actual saint's day) and those days only celebrate 2 things (love and severe drunkenness), it's easy when you're not in a relationship to get depressed about a day that celebrates being with someone. And, since the only things that seem to get bought on those days are Cards, Chocolates, and Condoms, it's easy to see who benefits monetarily from keeping the holiday alive. So get off Takari's back. She hardly posts anymore. When she does, she might as well be able to without fear of getting jumped on simply because of history.

And Vil, shut up. Everyone's killed the Jews. It's nothing special.
